Holding down bolt set out

Holding down bolt set-out survey requires the accurate set-out of holding down bolts that are generally cast into a concrete slab or foundation. Holding down bolts are predominantly used to attach segments of the structural steel structure, to its foundation. Generally the steel beams are fabricated at an independent site to where the building structure is being constructed. It is therefore essential that the holding down bolts be set-out accurately, not only in the correct configuration, but are also relative to each other set in the building. This will ensure that the prefabricated structure will fit in its designed location and allow each of the prefabricated components to be bolted together correctly and efficiently, ensuring a square and vertical structure.
