Building, Footings, and slab set-out surveys are used to set-out the extremity of a building or a structures’ concrete footing or slab. This can be done both pre and post pouring of concrete. Pre pour set-out can help eliminate excessive waste of concrete, due to inaccurate measurements and over excavation. Survey set out will ensure that footings and slabs are formed in the correct design location. Additional to this is the set-out and location of holding down bolts or dowel bars for structural steel or precast concrete.
After concrete has been poured, building and slab set-out surveys can be used. The purpose of this may be to set-out grid lines and centrelines of structural steel base plates or the edges and joints of precast concrete panels, dependent on what is required.
